Detailed Overview
Awaken was a game script written by myself and a few others in a Writing For Media course. Awaken follows a young woman named Natalie, who wakes up in an unfamiliar place reminiscent of a stereotypical DND campaign. From there she has to journey to the top of a mountain to find a magic book that she hopes will be able to return her home.
Writing Awaken was super fun coming from a games background since I got to add mystical and mythical creatures anywhere in the script. It's always extremely fun when you can write an epic adventure for a character full of cool places, great and funny characters, and a fantastic ending that leaves readers feeling a multitude of emotions. That's what I love about writing for games, being able to see people who read or play your games care about the characters you've created.
