This is the first installment of Oliver Redden's journey of growing up and finally meeting who he's "meant to be". Meeting Myself follows a young man's quest for independence as he ventures into the realm of college life. Amidst the challenges of navigating a new chapter, he grapples with self-discovery, unraveling the layers of his identity. The narrative delves into the awkwardness of forging new beginnings in college, addressing the complexities of the COVID-19 pandemic, and beyond, offering a compelling exploration of personal growth and resilience.
Gambling With A Purpose (Interactive Twine Game)
I wanted to make a cool test run for a potentially much bigger narrative about a gambler you meet in a tavern that never seems to lose. I challenged myself to design it in less than four hours total with very few descriptions or narrations! It's set up like a DnD-style adventure with a twist of the player having full agency! This means that the only thing that stops you from passing everything is clicking the fail option to see what would happen. I hope you enjoy it!
Twenty Minutes Too Early (Interactive Twine Game)
Drafted an outline with a clear branching narrative
Established meaningful story arcs
Built a complex, but uncomplicated plot structure
Created choices and conditional story with death choices
Scoped for a 48-hour development time and met that expectation
Iterated on unfair deaths/ambiguous decisions based on peer and executive feedback
Detailed Overview
"Twenty Minutes Too Early" is a choose your own adventure game where every choice you make changes how the story progresses. The player wields a time traversal device that has the power to bring the player to multiple different times in the past, encountering classic historical figures as well as a few you wouldn't expect. When you get to your destination, the TD breaks and you must find a way to repair it, potentially putting yourself in harm’s way to do it. The goal of this type of game is to make choices based on what you'd do in that situation, not what you think you should do. There are many branches and adventures to come and throughout playing you may encounter secret endings that you didn't expect to find. Have fun and don't take the game too seriously!

"Marked" is about an angel (Levi) and a werewolf (Lyca) who meet during a job Lyca has been sent on. Lyca accidentally saves his mark's life and Levi, who's sent to protect said mark, is eternally grateful. Will Lyca be able to put his confusing feelings aside, outwit the angel, and complete his task? Or will he face the wrath of his mother and family?
One of my first ventures into the realm of short stories "The Dolphin's Call" was meant to set up the tale of Rosa. She starts with those first few days on the beach with weird happenings, then her entire world gets turned upside down. I wanted to have a good premise and force myself to stick to just a page and see what I could do with that. The result is a rather interesting setup to a story easily able to be added to at any time.
Fun fact: Rosa's ability to speak to dolphins was inspired by Percy Jackson!
Overview
The Rain Cycle is a Myth started out by looking at a picture of what appeared to be water floating suspended in the air. From there I got the idea of a post-apocalyptic world where at any moment the water that was suspended in the sky could come crashing down on various parts of the Earth, killing whoever or whatever was below it.
The game is meant to be fun, explorative, and intriguing, so the player wants to find out what happens with every different choice. There are quite a few different choices and endings in this game as well. The element of mystery is always in the background as well. Who knows, maybe even playing through the game multiple times might give new information to help in later play-throughs.

Overview
Knock Knock is a short fun Twine game set in a small town on Halloween. The story follows the hijinks of the main character and their friends Andy and Josh. Many outcomes can transpire, but the main character always seems to end up right back where they started.
This game was super fun to make since my twine games are usually much longer. With the time loop that exists in this game, it feels like the downtime to jump right back into the action is close to zero. I don't want to spoil too much of the story, but on Halloween; it seems anything can happen.
